MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has made significant inroads towards Latin pop. In the year 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album was a long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. It reached the top 8 spot in the Top Latin Albums Chart. The following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the Top Latin Albums chart. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel for Mala Influencia and dropped the album Dopamina in the following year. He also appeared as a duo TINI for her viral streaming single Maldita Foto. He appeared in 2023 with 2000, featuring the huge hit La Bachata. Turizo was born into a household of music the mother of his younger brother and father are musicians. According to him, music was a mandatory part of his life. He learned how to play guitar, saxophone ukulele, and piano as when he was a child. The first goal was to be a vet, but after his brother Julian convinced to him take singing lessons from a Cuban singer, he altered his career plans.
