Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico, was born to a music-loving family. She grew up listening to classical, old boleros and the traditional ranchero, romantic, as well as romance ballads. Ana enjoys opera, tangos and the various forms of dramatic performing. She was taught by her mother to sing, but she began more intensive vocal training with Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. the singer was famous as a Mexican opera Tenor. She continued her musical training in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara in addition to Mexico City, she was a member of many opera chamber and choruses. After relocating back to the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her home in southern California. She is currently performing traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. Her love and passion for arts, music and performing keeps her involved in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana was also part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently an instructor of The Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to communicate with other people her love for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes to inspire younger generations of musicians to keep the traditions alive.
